Chicken drumsticks in honey, served with baked chips from potatoes and beets and with garlic sauce with the apples

A long title, but I wanted to cover all the components;) dish is easy to make and tastes really great, and is also healthy and cheap;)

Components for 2 persons:

Chicken in the marinade:
4-5 chicken drumsticks
2 tablespoons of liquid honey
1 tablespoon of mustard
1 tablespoon of oil
Salt and pepper to taste
5-6 medium potatoes
4 beets
Oil, salt, pepper, herbs to taste (eg. thyme, marjoram or oregano)


3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
2 tbsp thick yoghurt or sour cream
1-2 cloves of garlic
½  of apple
Salt, pepper to taste

In a large bowl, mix the marinade ingredients. Wash drumsticks, dry them and translates to the marinade, mix it to covered, leave it in the fridge for a few hours, and preferably overnight.
Warm up the oven to 170-180 degrees (up+down warming)
Peel the potatoes and beets, wash them, cut into chips (potatoes thicker, beets thinner) and placed in separate bowls. For each bowl, add 1 tablespoons oil, salt, pepper and your favorite herbs. Mix it. On a baking tray lined with baking paper put chickens, beets and potatoes.
Bake about 40 minutes (or longer, depending on the power of the oven) until the lower leg and chips is golden brown and are soft in the middle (You can check it pricking the meat with a fork - if You see transparent  liquid - the meat is ready).
Meantime, prepare the sauce into a bowl : Mix mayonnaise with yogurt or cream and grated on a middle holes of grater apple and garlic, add some salt and lots of pepper, cool sauce in the fridge.
Serve the dish immedietly.
