Baked potato pancakes

Potato pancakes are very popular polish dinner, but they are usually fried and server with sour cream. This is more healthy alternative, and its` also old-fashioned metod to prepare potato pancakes – I`ve heard, that long time ago polish housevives baked them in wood cook stoves.

You need:
12 medium potatoes
1 large carrot
1 large onion
4 tablespoons flour
1 egg
Salt, pepper

Preheat oven to 180 degrees of Celsius. Peel and wash the vegetables. Grate potatoes and carrot on the large holes of grater, draining as much moisture as you can from them. Add a tablespoon of milk or natural joghurt. Grate onion on a small holes of  grater, add it to the potatoes. Then add the egg, flour, salt and pepper and mix to combine. Spread baking sheet which a bit of oil (You can also line baking sheet with baking paper and spread the paper). With Your  hands form 9 potato pancakes (quide thick) and place them on baking sheet. Spread them with a bit of oil, using a cooking brush. Sprinkle them with pepper. Put them in the oven and bake about 40 minutes (depending on the power of the oven and the thickness of the cake, they should be golden browned), for the last 10-15 minutes turn on the hot air). Serve immediately, eg. with sour cream, yogurt or garlic sauce.
